Trying again on the Homelink garage door opener controls on the new car. Still can’t get it get to recognize the rolling code. Then, I think back through what I did before. First I used the remote to link to the car, and then it blinked fast to tell me it was a rolling code, and you have to go to the learn feature of the opener. AH! You have to do both, first to get it on the right channel, and then to get it on the right set of codes. Now they both work.

I was trying to get the Homelink Garage Door Opener to work from the new, to us, Lexus last night. We have a garage door opener with a rolling code so I had to find the instruction manual so I could learn where the Learn button is, which is rather hidden. I got it to work on the left door, but not the right. Will have to try again. This is rocket science. 
 
The old Lexus had the buttons, and I must have tried back then to get them to work but guess I never did. Evernote that remembers my life did not exist then, for me anyway. 
 
Still need to do the ones on the new ZZ-II

Last night there was a nasty smell of dead mouse in the Lexus. 
 
This is not quite high tech but how I did find the mouse is. By having learned earlier from a U-Tube video how to remove the glove box in the Lexus and other paneling to get at the cabin air filter. So I ran through that drill again. There it was, in early stages of decomposure. It had been trying to eat through the very old and dirty filter and died right there. Car is airing out now. 
 
Always check the cabin air filter from time to time. All sorts of things can pile up on it.

Auto-typing keyboard.

Yesterday Kathy’s laptop started spewing out all sorts of stuff from some buffers somewhere each time you typed. Trying to clean the keyboard today with a small brush, amazing collection of six or seven years of cat hair in there. It still does some strange things.

Things are being added to my list so fast this morning that I realized I had better put them on my ToDo list. But then I cannot get to the server where it is because its not a known TCPIP host because the VPN is down. So I start that process and go to change shoes so I can do some lawn work. Hope I remember all the things I was going to do.

All I want to do is start some music on Pandora. But the computer is really slow, waiting for ever to get things open, and now Adobe Air wants updating, again. Seems to be a daily chore. Can’t they get it right? In the old days I just turned on the radio and there you are.
