Last night there was a nasty smell of dead mouse in the Lexus. 

 

This is not quite high tech but how I did find the mouse is. By having learned earlier from a U-Tube video how to remove the glove box in the Lexus and other paneling to get at the cabin air filter. So I ran through that drill again. There it was, in early stages of decomposure. It had been trying to eat through the very old and dirty filter and died right there. Car is airing out now. 

 

Always check the cabin air filter from time to time. All sorts of things can pile up on it.
